Nikon D3, D300 launched!

Nikon d300As mentioned here before, the Nikon latest DSLRs are finally launched yesterday in Singapore and elsewhere in the world.  Apparently, the camera shop do not have them in stock yet but I guess it would be a matter of days before the stock come in.

Prices details are still sketchy as only Recommended Retail Prices(RRP) are released.  Accordingly to details posted on some forums, the RRP are

Nikon D3 (body only) - S$7999
Nikon D300 (body only) - S$2999

Updated on 29 Nov 07: A Singapore shop is selling D300 for S$2700 excluding GST.

Am I getting one?  Honestly, the D300 is tempting and considering my D70 is more than 3 yrs old and showing signs of failing, I may get one.  However, I may wait for the 2nd or 3rd batch of cameras to arrive before getting one in case there are some inital issues.

Anyway keep shooting.

Sunset at Phnom Penh

Sunset at Boeung Kak Lake, Phnom Penh

This is taken off the Lazyfish Guesthouse in Phnom Penh. I was on my way back to the guesthouse and I saw the beautiful sunset. I made it in time to set up my tripod and take a few shots. The background is empty so I used the few poles in the water as the foreground to hold the composition.

Spinning lady

What direction is the lady turning in?

If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.

Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.
